Bullhorn Reaches Several Milestones During Q3 2006 and Extends Leadership in the Staffing and Recruiting Software Market

Increases Revenues by 55% on 72 New Customers; Surpasses 6 Million Global Transactions per Day Threshold


Boston – November 8, 2006 – Bullhorn, the global leader in On Demand, front office staffing and recruiting software, today announced strong sustained growth in all areas of measurement for the third quarter of 2006, which ended on September 30, 2006. Compared to the same quarter in 2005, Bullhorn’s overall revenues increased 55%. Sales to new customers grew more than 40%, reflecting strong market penetration across emerging, mid-sized and enterprise segments. This is the 21st consecutive quarter of revenue growth that exceeds the overall market, and it signifies Bullhorn’s rapid increase in market share. Growth from existing customers also spiked significantly by 16%, besting the company’s historical average of 10%, demonstrating the strength of Bullhorn’s software as a service business model, which consists of monthly recurring revenue and one-time professional services fees. During the quarter, Bullhorn also achieved an industry milestone by processing more than 6 million global transactions per day.

Bullhorn added 72 new customers and nearly 600 new users in the quarter. The number of new customers represents a 125% increase from Q3, 2005. During the quarter, the company surpassed 500 customers and 7,000 users worldwide.

Bullhorn reached several milestones in the quarter, including:

  • Licensed revenues from enterprise customers increased by 71% during Q3 2006 versus the same period last year, as firms such as Major Lindsey & Africa selected Bullhorn.
  • Licensed revenues from mid-sized customers increased by 54% during Q3 2006 versus the same period last year.
  • Licensed revenues from emerging customers increased by 123% during Q3 2006 versus the same period last year.
  • Bullhorn processes more than 6 million global transactions per work day, or roughly averages 869 per user, per work day. On a per user basis, Bullhorn processes more than 8 times the number of transactions per day as Salesforce.com. Bullhorn averages, more than 100 million global transactions and 20 million inbound and outbound emails per month.
  • Bullhorn is ranked by Alexa as one of the most trafficked Web sites in the world. Estimated in the top 1%.
  • Bullhorn surpassed 2,000 users in the permanent placement market, out of the company’s total customer base of more than 7,000.
  • Bullhorn’s CEO, Arthur Papas, was nominated by the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council for CEO of the Year.
  • Bullhorn has increased the number of employees by more than 125% in the last year, investing in all areas of the company.
  • Bullhorn established new sales offices in San Diego, Charlotte and Austin
