In the US, all 50 states reported positive hiring intentions. Indiana, Maine, Alaska, and Colorado are the states with the strongest jobs outlook, while Albany, New York; Sacramento, California; and Madison, Wisconsin are among the most optimistic cities. Which industries are on the up-and-up? Leisure &amp; hospitality, wholesale &amp; retail trade, and transportation and utilities were the top winners this quarter. You can find the whole report <a href=\"https:\/\/manpowergroup.us\/meos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cEmployers in all 13 national industry sectors expect to add to payrolls during the April-June period.\u201d\u2014<\/span><b>ManpowerGroup,<\/b> <a href=\"https:\/\/manpowergroup.us\/meos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b><i>ManpowerGroup Employment Outlook Survey<\/i><\/b><\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2><b>Is the Job Market Showing Signs of Decline?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Employers may have a positive hiring outlook for Q2 2019, but do recent job trends support that outlook? Adecco USA notes some cause for hesitation in their quarterly <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.adeccousa.com\/the-u-s-quarterly-employment-forecast-q2-2019\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">employment forecast<\/a>.\u00a0 &#8220;<\/span>Those worries stem from job growth nearly grinding to a halt in February, with just 20,000 jobs added to non-farm payrolls during the month. It\u2019s important to keep in mind that report came on the heels of a strong January when 311,000 jobs were added.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The unemployment rate remains historically low, though our <a href=\"https:\/\/grid.bullhorn.com\/apac\/key-findings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">GRID research<\/a> found that recruitment professionals were split on if the unemployment rate was good or bad for business. While it can help drive demand for recruitment services, a full 38 percent of respondents said the low unemployment rate was a top challenge for 2019.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201c<span>While the days of nothing but sunny job forecasts may be waning, there is still reason for considerable optimism for those looking for work, or to advance their careers<\/span>.\u201d\u2014 <strong>Adecco USA<\/strong>, <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.adeccousa.com\/the-u-s-quarterly-employment-forecast-q2-2019\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">U.S. Quarterly Employment Forecast \u2013 Q2 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2><strong>D&amp;I is a Priority for Executive Search Clients\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We&#8217;ve talked a lot about <a href=\"https:\/\/grid.bullhorn.com\/spotlights\/diversity-and-the-limits-of-perception\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Diversity and Inclusion (D&amp;I)<\/a> in the recruitment industry. Generally, recruitment professionals agree that <a href=\"https:\/\/grid.bullhorn.com\/apac\/resources\/grid-2019-infographic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">diverse organisation are more effective<\/a>, but they are split on whether there&#8217;s a diversity problem in the industry. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How do executive search professionals feel about D&amp;I? <a href=\"https:\/\/www.invenias.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Invenias<\/a> and MIX Diversity Developers, a boutique consulting agency specialising in D&amp;I, conducted a global survey of over<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.invenias.com\/news-events\/news\/diversity-and-inclusion-and-the-role-of-executive-search\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">300 executive search professionals<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to find out. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Their survey <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">found that executive search clients increasingly make D&amp;I-related requests. Respondents also overwhelmingly reported that D&amp;I is a priority area for their clients.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As more and more businesses recognise the benefits of a diverse and inclusive workforce, it\u2019ll become increasingly beneficial for your agency to have strategies in place to help advance these efforts.
