In this webinar, Susan Hung, Senior Technical Support Analyst at Bullhorn walked through top tips and tricks to address some of the common issues our customers are experiencing. Make sure you have access to our <a href=\"https:\/\/help.bullhorn.com\/s\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Customer Community<\/a> to take full advantage of Susan\u2019s helpful tips below.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mVu5vnHp2fQ\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3>Updating Fields in Bullhorn<\/h3>\n<p>One of the most common questions we receive is how to update fields in Bullhorn. You may be feeling unsure how to add, remove or edit the fields currently on your records. Susan starts by introducing the <a href=\"https:\/\/help.bullhorn.com\/s\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Customer Community page<\/a> where you\u2019ll find a range of helpful articles and training resources on Bullhorn.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.28 Accessing Customer Community<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Access the community when you\u2019re logged into Bullhorn by clicking on the <strong>Help<\/strong> button (located on the right corner, next to your name) &gt; select <strong>Bullhorn Help<\/strong>. You\u2019ll be given options as to which Bullhorn product you\u2019d like more information about, in this case we selected \u2018Bullhorn ATS\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.09 Navigating the Bullhorn ATS Customer Community<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s a few things to navigate here but don\u2019t let this page overwhelm you. On the top right corner you\u2019ll see the search bar, where you can easily enter keyword searches to quickly find and access the right article for you. In this webinar, we searched the word \u2018field\u2019, as it&#8217;s a field we want to update. We found the <a href=\"https:\/\/help.bullhorn.com\/bhatsTopics\/s\/article\/Using-Field-Mappings-1423047795\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Using Field Mappings<\/a> article to help us explore what field mappings are and identify the various options available to you.<\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-70562 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bullhorn.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/11\/Bullhorn-ATS-Customer-Community.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1130\" height=\"554\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bullhorn.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/11\/Bullhorn-ATS-Customer-Community.png 1455w, https:\/\/www.bullhorn.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/11\/Bullhorn-ATS-Customer-Community-768x376.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1130px) 100vw, 1130px\" \/>\n<p><strong>4.47 Updating a Field Value<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once you\u2019re in the Field Maps area, you\u2019ll notice a long list of options or entities you can edit. An entity is the type of record you\u2019re working with, eg. a Candidate. Once you expand an entity, you\u2019ll see a list of every field available in the particular record you\u2019ve chosen.<\/p>\n<p>A label is what a field is called in the front-end, it is what your users will see. You can quickly search for the field you want to edit using it\u2019s label. To update a field value, expand the applicable field by clicking on the black arrow on the left. The Value List box contains all of the current values or options available for your users. Note &#8211; a comma is separating each value with no space between, always leave this formatting as is. You should do all edits in this format too. Save your edits and ensure you log out and back into Bullhorn to see your changes reflected in the particular entity.<\/p>\n<h3>Locating Records in Bullhorn<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mVu5vnHp2fQ?start=527\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>8.47 Finding an archived record<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Have you ever run a search that you knew should return a particular candidate you\u2019ve worked with in the past, but they\u2019re just not appearing? In this case, there is a good chance the record has been archived. An archived record will not appear in Fast Find searches or be on a candidate list.<\/p>\n<p>You can search archived records using the <a href=\"https:\/\/help.bullhorn.com\/bhatsTopics\/s\/article\/How-Do-I-View-Archived-Records-536118854\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">advanced search on the Candidate List<\/a>, be sure your list has been cleared of all filters using the \u2018Clear\u2019 button on the top right before starting your search. In the advanced search box under Additional Criteria, select <strong>Status<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Include All<\/strong> &gt; Select Status of \u2018<strong>Archive<\/strong>\u2019 from the drop down list &gt; Click <strong>Search<\/strong>. You will see a list of all archived records, you can filter down further to locate the person you are looking for by searching their first name in the Name column. Once you locate and open the record you can change their status from \u2018Archive\u2019 back to \u2018Active\u2019 or whatever is most applicable in your scenario to find and work with them on an ongoing basis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>11.00 Search using Fast Find<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bullhorn\u2019s Fast Find allows you to search in a more condensed format to quickly locate what you are looking for. The Customer Community has this helpful article on <a href=\"https:\/\/help.bullhorn.com\/bhatsTopics\/s\/article\/Searching-for-Records-Using-Find-535745480\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Searching for Records Using Find<\/a> where we have an awesome breakdown of how the search works and additional tips for searching using Find.<\/p>\n<p>To find someone using just their first name, type in their name followed by an asterisk, for example \u2018Brenda*\u2019. This will tell Bullhorn you are only looking for people whose first name is Brenda.<\/p>\n<h3>Email Tracking<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mVu5vnHp2fQ?start=780\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>While not everyone uses email tracking, it\u2019s incredibly helpful. So let&#8217;s dive into how you can set it up for your recruitment agency.<\/p>\n<p><strong>13.00:<\/strong> Firstly, you need to find out if your email provider is compatible with Bullhorn\u2019s email integration. Outlook, Office365 and Gmail are a few of our most common compatible options and you can find helpful guides on how to enable these integrations on the <a href=\"https:\/\/help.bullhorn.com\/s\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Customer Community<\/a>. In fact, we have an entire section of the community dedicated to <a href=\"https:\/\/help.bullhorn.com\/bhatsTopics\/s\/article\/Bullhorn-Email-Integration-Overview-and-Common-Questions-2116504971\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Email Tracking, including Bullhorn Email Integration Overview and Common Questions<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/help.bullhorn.com\/bhatsTopics\/s\/article\/Troubleshooting-Email-Tracking-1981161227\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Troubleshooting Email Tracking<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>16.00:<\/strong> After confirming that your email provider is compatible you need to prepare your user profiles for the integration. To access your list of Bullhorn users go to Menu &gt; Admin &gt; Users. Locate the particular user or users you\u2019re looking for and select edit. Expand the \u2018Email Settings\u2019 to display the full list of options available. The first two options are key. Firstly \u2018Primary Email\/ Reply to\u2019 is your users\u2019 primary email address, be careful to input a valid and correct email address. The second option is \u2018In-bound Email\u2019, select \u2018On\u2019 to enable Bullhorn to track inbound emails sent to our users\u2019 inbox and \u2018Save\u2019 the changes. After you\u2019ve done these steps, your designated Account or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bullhorn.com\/au\/subscribe-to-blog\/?LS=Website&amp;LSD=Customer_Blog_AU&amp;LA=CustomerBlog_AU_20_11_12&amp;LAD=CustomerBlog_AU_20_11_12_Webinar_Breakdown_Support_Tips&amp;utm_source=customer_blog_au&amp;utm_medium=website&amp;utm_campaign=customerblog_au_20_11_12_webinar_breakdown_support_tips\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Support Contact<\/a> will need to call our Support team or log a ticket to obtain a \u2018Bullhorn Activity Tracking Address\u2019. The team may provide you with a step by step guide on how to implement the integration.
