Here\u2019s how they achieved it:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

  1. The client had great <\/span>value-added email content with an enticing call to action (CTA).<\/b><\/li>\n
  2. If people took those calls to action, that triggered <\/span>a targeted follow-up workflow<\/b> to notify sales staff and follow up with these new leads.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The wise realisation that came from this process:<\/span><\/p>\n

    Here\u2019s how you can do this yourself:<\/b><\/h3>\n

    The first part of this campaign is how to create a drip campaign to send to your new leads.<\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. In the top right corner, select <\/span>Add Automation.<\/b><\/li>\n
    2. Select <\/span>Blank Automation.<\/b><\/li>\n
    3. Select <\/span>Sales Contact-based automation.<\/b><\/li>\n
    4. Name your automation.<\/span><\/li>\n
    5. Make sure your automation type is set to <\/span>standard.<\/b><\/li>\n
    6. Hit <\/span>save.<\/b><\/li>\n
    7. Your list component will be how you identify prospects or anyone you want to enter inside of this drip campaign.<\/span><\/li>\n
    8. Under <\/span>Add New Step<\/b>, select <\/span>Send Email.<\/b> We\u2019ll come back to customising this later; for now, just hit save.<\/span><\/li>\n
    9. Add another step. This time, select <\/span>Add Wait.<\/b> Select your wait time and <\/span>save<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n
    10. Repeat steps 8 and 9 as many times as you would like, building a cadence of sending emails with wait times in between them. Make sure your wait times are long enough; you don\u2019t want emails to send too frequently and risk pestering your recipients.<\/span><\/li>\n
    11. Return to your emails. The critical part of this automation is including an enticing call to action (CTA). You can customise your emails however you like, adding buttons, links, etc. But a great way to guide recipients to your website is to include your CTA right in the text of the button.<\/span><\/li>\n
    12. When adding your URLs to your CTA buttons (in <\/span>content properties<\/b>, under <\/span>action<\/b>), add a <\/span>parameter in the form of ? <\/b>after your URLs (for example, www.bullhorn.com?option1 and www.bullhorn.com?option2) to differentiate between actions. We\u2019ll come back to the importance of this later.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      In part two, we\u2019ll create a list.<\/span><\/p>\n

      1. In the top right corner, select <\/span>Add Automation.<\/b><\/li>\n
      2. Select <\/span>Blank Automation.<\/b><\/li>\n
      3. Select <\/span>Sales Contact-based automation.<\/b><\/li>\n
      4. Name your automation.<\/span><\/li>\n
      5. Under <\/span>Automation Enrollment<\/b>, select <\/span>Create New List.<\/b><\/li>\n
      6. Name your list.<\/span><\/li>\n
      7. Under <\/span>Choose the type of list<\/b>, select <\/span>Always Updated.<\/b><\/li>\n
      8. Under <\/span>List Summary<\/b>, select <\/span>Has Activity <\/b>and <\/span>Click<\/b> from the drop-down menus.<\/span><\/li>\n
      9. Under <\/span>From<\/b>, select <\/span>your email from part one.<\/b> This narrows the list to only find people who have clicked within that email.<\/span><\/li>\n
      10. Within <\/span>URL Contains, <\/b>type in any of your parameters from the URL in step twelve of part one. This is where you can enable a customised follow-up, depending on which CTA someone clicks. As soon as they click on a CTA from the email from part one, they\u2019ll enter this list.<\/span><\/li>\n
      11. After this, back within the Automation, you can, for example, select <\/span>Send Notification<\/b> to notify your sales reps, or choose <\/span>Send Email<\/b> or <\/span>Send Text<\/b> to send a customised message \u2013 because, thanks to the parameters you set up, you know what they clicked.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
