They can be thought of as pieces of words, though they also include spaces and punctuation marks; each one is roughly four characters of typical English text. When you ask AI a question, it looks at each token \u2013 that is, each word, space, and piece of punctuation \u2013 to understand and respond to your question. As part of the enablement process, you\u2019ll need to provide details from your LLM such as the model, API key, and token limit.<\/span>\r\n<h3><strong>What are the differences between these LLMs?<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to the differences between OpenAI and Azure OpenAI, GPT-3.5-Turbo and GPT-4 vary in a few ways.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Both GPT-3.5-Turbo and GPT-4 models are optimised for chat and work well for traditional completion tasks. Both models can understand and generate natural language, but GPT-4 can solve more difficult problems with greater accuracy. On the other handGPT-3.5-Turbo models are significantly faster than GPT-4 models and are offered at a lower price point. However, the increased price of GPT-4 models unlocks a connection to the internet that allows you to use responses from online sources. We specialise in automotive, manufacturing and engineering\u2026Quite often when we receive an engineering job specification from a client, it's written in engineer\u2019s jargon and every manufacturer seems to have their own way of writing job descriptions. We use ChatGPT to help us debunk it.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<b>Nicole Shenberger, Johnson Service Group:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> We are using ChatGPT to improve content and help out with generating basic recruiting functions. We are still learning and researching how else it can be used throughout the company.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<b>Matthew Finlay, Calibre Search:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> We\u2019ve used it to analyse data sets by feeding it some numbers from excel and asking it to summarise the findings. This has worked really well.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<b>Shenberger<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: But you have to be cautious of how you are using this AI-generated content. You have to review it first, make edits, and make it your own.<\/span>\r\n<h4><b>What does your organisation need to do to really take advantage of AI\u2019s potential?<\/b><\/h4>\r\n<b>Finlay:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> For use it was the data cleanliness journey. It wasn't the worst database in the world, but it was a bit unkempt. And when the GDPR rules started coming in, we had a bit more focus on [the data cleanliness].<\/span>\r\n\r\n<b>Johnson:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> We want to get the data right in the database to ensure that the data is as accurate and easy to access as possible. This will still require consultant training to highlight to them the benefits of this..<\/span>\r\n\r\n<b>Finlay<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Just in the last 6-12 months I have been looking more [at] how much of our database engaged, how many people have clicked, how many people [we] got to connect with. I reckon within 12 months, maybe less, I'd probably be in a position where we're like, yeah\u2026[the] cleanliness is good.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<b>Ahmad:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The privacy aspect of it is very important for us, hence our being interested in [a solution] associated with Bullhorn, something that we're already using. And if it's something associated and linked and integrated within our application tracking system, that's even better.<\/span>\r\n<h4><b>What potential roadblocks do you think stand in the way of moving to the next step?<\/b><\/h4>\r\n<b>Shenberger:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> I think it's going to take a lot of training and educating. The idea of AI is to make your job easier, not harder. It seems to be people are either very excited about AI or very cautious of the tool. Staffing is a very relationship-driven business, so you have to be strategic with the technology.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<b>Johnson:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> So initially, when we introduced it, we got early adopters i.e. those who were keen to be part of the team to investigate more about AI and how it could be used within the business. Additionally, we had a couple of people who wanted to learn more about it\u2026so we held a session around ChatGPT to explain its capabilities, and what it could offer them. I think once everyone understood what it could do for them, to reduce that amount of manual effort they were having to utilise so they could maximise the amount of time [they can spend]...doing great value-add activities, that convinced them that AI is a tool to be embraced and not feared.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<b>Finlay:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The stuff I want to do before is retraining, to get them up to speed. And another one of the key things is that we would link that with automation.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n<h4><b>Realistically, what are the best near-term use cases, the short-term next steps for AI?<\/b><\/h4>\r\n<b>Finlay:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> I imagine AI could help with the most time-consuming tasks like communication. I wouldn't be comfortable with communication that was just put out by AI; you'd always feel like you need somebody to manage it. But it could magnify the amount of output that you could possibly have by one person.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<b>Shenberger:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Use cases seem to center around speed to candidates \u2014 You can use the technology to create more complex boolean searches in seconds. You can use it to help create message templates faster, you can just copy, paste, and then edit the work to make it your own.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<b>Johnson:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Some sort of market intelligence as well is quite useful\u2026You'll have people using it to hit the next level of what they can do to save time. And using chatbots for some sort of pre-qualification type questions.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<b>Finlay:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Searching for CVs. That seems to be the most time-consuming thing.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<b>Johnson:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> I could see it theoretically working as follows:\u00a0 a job description is received from a client. We plug that description into an AI tool that creates our job advert for us.\u00a0 It then creates the Boolean search that we need as well. It goes away, populates what it needs to within the job boards or Linkedin, does the search, and pulls back the most suitable candidates based on that criteria.\u00a0 And then the next stage will be to do the initial outreach to suitable candidates.<\/span>\r\n<h4><b>What final thoughts would you like to share?<\/b><\/h4>\r\n<b>Johnson:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> AI is going to increase the volume of work we are able to cope with as we're not having to deal with that manual leg work in the background. It's hopefully been done for [the recruiters], or 80\/20 done for them, so they can really focus on the placement-making activities and process.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<b>Shenberger:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Staffing is such a personal industry; we're talking and developing relationships with candidates and with clients. I would hate to have people lose that side of things. But, I think if AI is used right, in conjunction with the relationships that are being built, it can definitely be pretty powerful. Bullhorn surveyed around 50 recruitment agencies to find out.<\/span>\r\n<h3><b>AI focused on internal efficiency<\/b><\/h3>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The majority of recruitment agencies, 54%, are planning to roll out new AI-driven solutions within a year. With that in mind, it is not surprising that most agencies (52%) are focusing first on AI to upgrade their internal systems and become faster and more efficient. Another 38% are using AI for talent-facing solutions, to reduce friction in the candidate experience \u2014 technology can be one of the strongest tools to create a truly talent-centric platform.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Only 10% of respondents have ventured into client services powered by AI. And they are doing it to get out in front of the market, since the vast majority said fewer than a quarter of their clients are pushing them to offer more AI solutions.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n<h3><b>Most are using generative AI<\/b><\/h3>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Almost two-thirds of respondents (63%) report that they are already using generative AI in some way \u2014 most with ChatGPT or other open AI products.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<img class=\"size-full wp-image-77008 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bullhorn.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2023\/11\/GRID_23-24_AI_Graph_A_800x530_V2-APAC.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"530\" \/>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">59% are currently using AI to create candidate emails and notifications, building new job searches, editing resumes, and other generative functions, taking advantage of the ability to automate rote processes and stay in touch with candidates.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A close second priority is AI for sourcing functions: matching candidates to jobs, screening candidates, and collecting and summarising candidate information. This is a big opportunity for agencies since the first step to efficiency is tracking the metrics that matter.
