Many respondents mentioned they wanted to &#8220;automate all manual recruitment processes&#8221; while several others zoned in on specific pain-points, like SMS Texting, job postings, candidate sourcing, and candidate placements.<\/p>\n<p>The good news is that recruitment professionals are already able to automate many manual processes with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bullhorn.com\/au\/products\/applicant-tracking-system\/?utm_source=blog&amp;utm_medium=website\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">applicant tracking systems<\/a>. That said, there&#8217;s still a lot of mystery surrounding AI.<span>\u00a0Respondents only rate their current understanding of A.I. and machine learning at a <a href=\"https:\/\/grid.bullhorn.com\/apac\/key-findings\/?LS=Website&amp;LSD=Blog_AU&amp;LA=GRID_PROMO&amp;LAD=GRID&amp;utm_source=blog&amp;utm_medium=website&amp;utm_campaign=gridblog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">five out of ten<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Artificial intelligence is leveraging things like bots, intelligent assistants, natural language processing, machine learning, and predictive analytics to inform business decisions. It is the cornerstone of what we often refer to as \u201cdigital transformation.&#8221; <\/span>\u2014\u00a0<strong>Vinda Souza,\u00a0Vice President of Marketing Communications, Bullhorn<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>Chatbots<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Chatbots, an offshoot of AI, still sees a relatively low adoption rate by recruitment agencies. But judging by this year&#8217;s respondents, its place in the conversation has advanced considerably. It&#8217;s likely that this is connected to an ever-increasing focus on the candidate experience. Chatbots can enable recruitment agencies to respond to candidate concerns immediately and free up recruiter time in the process.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>Texting<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>While AI adoption may be a goal of the future, texting is having its moment now. It&#8217;s<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bullhorn.com\/blog\/2018\/10\/3-reasons-you-should-be-texting-your-candidates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fastest growing recruiting communication channel.<\/a>\u00a0When it comes to open rates and response rates, texting can&#8217;t be topped.\u00a0<span>People on average take 90 minutes to respond to an email, they take closer to\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/onereach.com\/blog\/45-texting-statistics-that-prove-businesses-need-to-start-taking-sms-seriously\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>90 seconds<\/span><\/a><span>\u00a0to respond to a text.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another reason recruitment pros are high on texting is its use as a communication tool with Millennials. <a href=\"https:\/\/grid.bullhorn.com\/apac\/insights\/overcoming-the-obstacles-in-2019\/?LS=Website&amp;LSD=Blog_AU&amp;LA=GRID_PROMO&amp;LAD=GRID&amp;utm_source=blog&amp;utm_medium=website&amp;utm_campaign=gridblog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Recruiters in Australia and New Zealand overwhelmingly picked Millennials<\/a> as the most difficult generation to reach and engage, and texting is the preferred method of communication amount that generation.
