While most employment professionals acknowledge the importance of fit, not enough has been done to assess the importance of specific workplace cultural attributes, or workplace DNA, to people and employers. To begin filling this gap, Bullhorn surveyed over 5,000 professionals in the summer of 2011 and asked them which cultural traits were most relevant to their workplace.
The Bullhorn Workplace DNA Project reveals that multiple factors influence which workplace cultural attributes matter to employees. People’s views are influenced by their educational background, how old they are, gender, even where they live. Bullhorn was able to quantify how much each of these factors influences what matters to us about the places we work.
