You want to make sure your new recruiter has access to your database, feels comfortable using the tools in Bullhorn, and knows where to look for answers.<\/p>\n<p>Whether you\u2019re replacing a user who has left your company or adding an additional user, you need to create an account for your new hire instead of repurposing an old account. The most efficient way to do this is by copying a current active user, particularly a user who has access that mirrors what you want for your new hire.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Getting Started<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Let\u2019s say your new hire is replacing a recruiter who was promoted and no longer needs access to Bullhorn. From your User list in Bullhorn, edit the user account for the recruiter being replaced and click Copy User in the top right corner.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-62777\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bullhorn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/10\/image1.png\" alt=\"Getting a New User Set up On Bullhorn\" width=\"1004\" height=\"265\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bullhorn.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/10\/image1.png 1004w, https:\/\/www.bullhorn.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/10\/image1-768x203.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1004px) 100vw, 1004px\" \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After copying the user you&#8217;ll receive a pop-up saying adding a user may incur additional fees. Don&#8217;t worry &#8211; as long as you <strong>disable the user<\/strong> you&#8217;re copying afterward then this won\u2019t affect you!<\/p>\n<p>Fill out the information for your new hire. Information like the <strong>User Type<\/strong> and <strong>Department<\/strong> carry over from the original user, but you will need to create a username. You\u2019ll want to especially make sure you update their <strong>email address<\/strong> so email tracking works properly. When you save, you\u2019re able to create a password for your user. Create a password for the user and click <strong>Save<\/strong> again. A best practice is to give the user their username and then have them click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bullhornstaffing.com\/BullhornSTAFFING\/ForgotPassword.cfm\">Forgot Password<\/a> link on the login screen. As long as they have an email address on their user record, the forgot password email will be sent to the user so they can create their own password before logging in.<\/p>\n<p>Now that the user is created, what\u2019s next? Well, it\u2019s likely the user you&#8217;re disabling has records under their ownership. If so, open their user account, click <strong>Records Transfer<\/strong> at the top right, and follow the on-screen prompts:<\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/help.bullhorn.com\/s\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-62778\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bullhorn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/10\/Records-Transfer-Bullhorn.png\" alt=\"Records Transfer Bullhorn\" width=\"571\" height=\"452\" \/><\/a>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If the user has a ton of data, you may need to <a href=\"https:\/\/help.bullhorn.com\/s\/article\/How-do-I-disable-a-user-238672625\">transfer ownership using the list view<\/a>. After all their records are transferred, you can disable the user by editing their user record and switching them from <strong>enabled<\/strong> to <strong>disabled<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Personalising Bullhorn<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>For a more personalised and streamlined experience, you can help your new hire set up their startup screens and create column layouts on their list views. Startup screens will load specific tabs in the bowling alley every time the user logs in and can be set from the <strong>User Preferences<\/strong> menu option.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/help.bullhorn.com\/s\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-62779\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bullhorn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/10\/Personalizing-Bullhorn.png\" alt=\"Personalizing Bullhorn\" width=\"544\" height=\"251\" \/><\/a>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This saves time and effort since it allows you to have the most used or most important tabs immediately open rather than having to manually open several different lists.<\/p>\n<p>Setting up the column layout for each list helps your new hire have information relevant to them clearly visible as soon as they open the list.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-62780\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bullhorn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/10\/image2.png\" alt=\"Bullhorn New User\" width=\"957\" height=\"198\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bullhorn.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/10\/image2.png 957w, https:\/\/www.bullhorn.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/10\/image2-768x159.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 957px) 100vw, 957px\" \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The column layout is highly customisable and will let your user adjust it in the future once they become more familiar with Bullhorn and the information they want to see.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Setting Up for Success<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>If you\u2019ve never used Bullhorn before, learning all of the features can be a bit overwhelming. Where do you start? Well, your new hire is in luck! This is the perfect time to introduce them to the Bullhorn Community and the Bullhorn Learning Hub.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/help.bullhorn.com\/s\/\">Bullhorn Community<\/a> houses articles that cover features, workflow, how-to questions, and best practices. It\u2019s easily searchable and also includes product updates, upcoming events, and announcements.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/help.bullhorn.com\/s\/training\">Bullhorn Learning Hub<\/a>, accessed through the Training tab on the Bullhorn Community, contains our eLearning, free recorded webinars, and other training resources.
