Bullhorn\u2019s View Layout admin functionality enables you to configure your Bullhorn database to determine how fields display on your records and list views. Combined with a knowledge of Field Mappings, you can use View Layout to display your data in a highly customised way.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Please note, View Layout functionality is only accessible by Bullhorn Admins.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<h3>What is View Layout?<\/h3>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BVMOhH8luDs?start=35\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/center><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">00:35: <a href=\"https:\/\/help.bullhorn.com\/bhatsTopics\/s\/article\/Using-the-View-Layout-1112903035?LS=Website&amp;LSD=CustomerBlog_UK&amp;LA=CustomerBlog_UK_21_01_15&amp;LAD=CustomerBlog_UK_21_01_15_webinar_breakdown_view_layout&amp;utm_source=customerblog_uk&amp;utm_medium=website&amp;utm_campaign=customerblog_uk_21_01_15_webinar_breakdown_view_layout\">View Layout<\/a> controls what fields display and where they appear on your overview, lists, Hot Lists, etc. <a href=\"https:\/\/help.bullhorn.com\/bhatsTopics\/s\/article\/Using-Field-Mappings-1423047795?LS=Website&amp;LSD=CustomerBlog_UK&amp;LA=CustomerBlog_UK_21_01_15&amp;LAD=CustomerBlog_UK_21_01_15_webinar_breakdown_view_layout&amp;utm_source=customerblog_uk&amp;utm_medium=website&amp;utm_campaign=customerblog_uk_21_01_15_webinar_breakdown_view_layout\">Field Mappings<\/a>, on the other hand, control which fields are used and where they appear on the edit tab. To access View Layout, open Menu &gt; Admin &gt; View Layout.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #009bdf;\"><b>Trainer Tip: Fields must have the <\/b><b><i>Hidden<\/i><\/b><b> checkbox marked in order to be available for View Layout<\/b><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BVMOhH8luDs?start=94\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/center>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Configuring Cards on the Record Overview<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1:34: Select the type of record you\u2019d like to amend under Field Map Entity. In this scenario, we\u2019ll select <\/span><b>Candidate<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. You\u2019ll then see your List of Default Columns and Slideout Details.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Removing Columns From the Overview<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2:44: To remove a column from the overview, for example, \u201cLast Note (dateLastComment),\u201d select that item from the <\/span><b>Include in View <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">box, then select the left-oriented blue arrow next to the Include in View box. This will move that column to the Exclude from View box.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Adding Columns to the Overview<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3:08: To <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">add<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a column to your overview, for example, \u201cRating (customText15),\u201d simply do the opposite. Select that item from the <\/span><b>Exclude from View <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">box, click the right-oriented blue arrow, and that column will now be moved to the Include in View box. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Note: New columns will default to the last column of the overview. To change the order in which columns display, select it in the <\/span><\/i><b><i>Include in View<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> box and click the up and down arrows on the right-hand side.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #009bdf;\"><b>Trainer Tip: To move multiple columns at once, click and drag your cursor or hold Ctrl. To move <\/b><b><i>all <\/i><\/b><b>columns, click the double arrow.<\/b><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Editing Slideout Details<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4:39: If you\u2019re unfamiliar with slideout details, those are the details that appear whenever you click the <\/span><b>binoculars<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> icon on a record in Bullhorn. This will display a quick summary of the record, and can also be edited in View Layout via the <\/span><b>Slideout Details <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">box below the Default Column information we covered, above. You can edit that information in the same way that you edit Default Columns\u2014simply select the information you want to edit and move it between Exclude from View and Include in View.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Configuring Default Columns<\/h3>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BVMOhH8luDs?start=342\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/center>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Editing the Profile Record<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">5:42: Using the second tab in the View Layout menu, <\/span><b>Profile Record<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, enables you to edit the information that displays directly on a record, rather than the overview. In this tab, you can edit the <\/span><b>Profile &#8211; Header<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> information, which is visible on the record no matter which tab you\u2019re currently viewing (For example, you may want to display a candidate\u2019s Name, Cell Phone Number, and Status). Follow the same workflow as above to edit this information.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can also edit the <\/span><b>Profile &#8211; Right Side Bar<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> information. This will format the <\/span><b>Details<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> card on the right-hand side of a record Overview. This information will also display on the slideout (remember the binoculars?) under the Details tab. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Note: This is called \u2018Profile &#8211; Right Side Bar\u2019 rather than the Details card because S Release users will see this information reflected on a sidebar on the right-hand side of the record. Please reach out to your Bullhorn Account Manager if you would like to move from S Release to Novo.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Editing the Overview Tab<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">8:51: The Overview tab of View Layout allows you to create and customise your own grouping of cards to display on the Overview of a record. You can add multiple pieces of information to the same card, simply edit a <\/span><b>Custom Overview Card<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, name it, and add and remove information with the same workflow as above. Remember to scroll down and click save. Fast forward to 16:40 to see our trainer reorganise how these cards display on the overview.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Editing the Mobile Tab<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">12:32: This tab allows you to edit which tabs display on your Bullhorn mobile app for your recruiting on-the-go needs. Use the same workflow as above to customise your layout. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Note<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> If you don\u2019t have mobile enabled, please contact your Bullhorn Account Manager.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Editing the Fast Find Tab<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">13:11: The Fast Find tab allows you to customise which information displays when you run a Fast Find search.\u00a0 You can customise this layout with the same workflow as above.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Cleaning Up Filterable\/Searchable fields<\/h3>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BVMOhH8luDs?start=833\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/center><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">13:53: You likely have many custom fields in your database that you don\u2019t necessarily want or will ever need to search on. Using the <\/span><b>Search<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Tab, you can remove those fields from your <\/span><b>Searchable Fields<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Use the same workflow as above. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Note: You can ignore Legacy Custom Search, as this is an older feature no longer in use.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Custom Tabs<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">15:45: If you have any of the following tabs; Custom Cards, Custom Tabs, Custom Menu Actions, Custom List Buttons, you\u2019ve likely worked with our Professional Services team for custom work or have a Bullhorn Marketplace Partner who utilises these custom tabs.
