Never let an online application go ignored again by auto-responding to everyone\u2019s online job application to let them know you\u2019ve received their application.<\/p>\n

Best Practice Tips: Don\u2019t stop at just a response \u2013 you can do more!<\/p>\n

  1. Notify applicants when a job is no longer available<\/li>\n
  2. Remind internal staff to review applications that haven\u2019t been reviewed after X amount of days<\/li>\n
  3. Notify applicants when they are rejected for a role and why they were rejected<\/li>\n
  4. Let them down gently with other job links they are a good fit for<\/li>\n
  5. Include them in your value add nurture campaigns so they can level up their search<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    How to Auto Respond to Online Applications<\/h3>\n

    Follow these steps:<\/p>\n

    1. Click Add Automation<\/strong> and select \u2018Submission-based.\u2019<\/li>\n
    2. Name your automation. Maybe something like \u2018Auto Respond to Web Response.\u2019 Click Save.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    3. Automation Enrollment will automatically open. Click\u00a0\u2018Create New List<\/strong>.\u2019<\/li>\n
    4. Under List Settings, select \u2018Always Updated\u2019 as the type of list and then name your list.<\/li>\n
    5. Enter your search criteria using the dropdown under \u2018Total number of submissions that match this search.\u2019 Your search criteria should be:\n

      1. \u2018Submission Status\u2019 is new lead or web response.<\/em><\/li>\n
      2. Choose a date after<\/em> the current date to ensure you\u2019re capturing the newest web responses going forward.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
      3. Click Save<\/strong> under List Settings, then click Save under Automation Enrollment.<\/li>\n
      4. Click the plus sign to add a new step to your automation. Select \u2018Send Email<\/strong>.\u2018<\/li>\n
      5. Under Create Email. Then select \u2018From Scratch \u2013 Plain Text\u2019 to design the email notification.\n

        1. Under Email Settings, fill in your Subject<\/strong>.\n

          2. Under \u2018From,\u2019 select who you would like the notification to come from. In this example, you\u2019ll likely want the notification to come from the Job Owner or a generic email.<\/li>\n
          3. Click Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
          4. Here is where you\u2019d write the copy for your email notification. This can be whatever you want, but make sure to click Save when you\u2019re done!\n

            2. Click the plus sign to add another step to your automation. Select \u2018End Automation<\/strong>.\u2019<\/li>\n
            3. You can also edit the send schedule under Automation Settings<\/em> to further customize when the auto-responses are sent. For example, you may want to have all auto-responses sent during business hours or at custom time intervals.\u00a0 Click Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
