To help customers learn how to make the most of SourceBreaker, Senior Customer Success Manager Monica Sidhu led a webinar to demonstrate a few best practices and top tips.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bullhorn.com\/uk\/events\/bullhorn-basics-webinar-series-2-ep2\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Check out a recording here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, or read the recap below to learn how to find top candidates quickly, set up business development, leverage automations so you never miss a job, and utilise company intel to put you one step ahead of the competition.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Beat your competitors to top talent<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cMy top tip for candidate searching would be to always build those searches out with as much detail as you can from the get-go,\u201d said Sidhu. \u201cAnything that you&#8217;ve been told from a client, anything that you&#8217;ve seen in a job description, I would be adding all of that in to find my top candidate first.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In your initial search, add all of the information you can, like keywords, qualifications, and skills. Sourcebreaker will then find other ways to phrase those descriptions and keywords. For example, if you\u2019re looking for a software engineer, Sourcebreaker will also search for candidates listed as software developers, software coders, software programmers, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can also target by location and input specific zip codes. Soucebreaker also has a radius feature, where you can see on a map \u2013 and easily adjust \u2013 the exact geographical area that you\u2019re targeting for your search.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sourcebreaker runs your search across all integrated job boards and within your Bullhorn database, saving you precious time from searching each job board individually. This method also prevents unconscious bias; Sourcebreaker doesn\u2019t favor any specific type of job board; it just shows you which candidates are best suited for your specific search.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can also automate your searches with<\/span><b> SourceBot<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which runs your search across your job boards and Bullhorn database 24\/7. SourceBreaker will notify you whenever new candidates match your search, both through a daily email and right within the SourceBreaker platform.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cNot only are you getting those candidates a lot quicker,\u201d said Sidhu, \u201cbut you&#8217;re also saving yourself a lot more time, which you can use to run other searches for other roles that you are working on.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SourceBreaker also allows you to quickly edit your search with the <\/span><b>SmartSearch<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> feature, which includes different keywords, degree requirements, and more factors that you can quickly toggle on and off to edit your search with a single click. Sidhu recommends switching off the degree requirement \u2013 chances are, you\u2019ll still find a qualified candidate with all of the experience you\u2019re looking for. \u201cThese could be absolutely amazing candidates that aren&#8217;t coming up in my searches,\u201d she said. \u201cIf they&#8217;re not coming up in my searches, they&#8217;re definitely not coming up in my competitors&#8217; searches.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you use LinkedIn Recruiter, you can easily integrate SourceBreaker within your workflow via <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/chromewebstore.google.com\/detail\/sourcebreaker-app\/cdfapchcmhgppdpmojilmopbjjlcpkjg\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SourceBreaker\u2019s Chrome extension<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The extension pulls in all of your existing searches into SourceBreaker, the same way that you would see on the platform. All you have to do is hit \u201csend to recruiter,\u201d and SourceBreaker formats your searches for you and shows you all of your matching candidates on LinkedIn.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Never miss a new job lead<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cAs well as being able to build out those great candidate searches, we want to make sure that you&#8217;ve got your business development side covered and you&#8217;re also automating all of your business development and lead searches,\u201d Sidhu said. With SourceBreaker, that\u2019s as easy as clicking a button.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Within SourceBreaker, you can take your candidate search and flip that over to find the live matching job leads with a single click. With the \u201csearch leads\u201d button, SourceBreaker converts your candidate search into a search for open jobs with the same criteria. \u201cStraight away, there&#8217;s a ton of jobs here that I can be reaching out to as new job leads, and I can be putting forward all of those candidates that I just found off the back of my candidate search,\u201d said Sidhu. \u201cIt&#8217;s a great way to make sure you&#8217;re covering both sides at once.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you run a search for leads in SourceBreaker, you\u2019ll notice two tabs at the top of your search: \u201cSourceBreaker leads\u201d and \u201caggregator leads.\u201d SourceBreaker leads are directly from company career pages, while aggregator leads are pulled from external, third-party career sites. \u201cThis is a really good way of running those job lead searches because it&#8217;s covering all of those areas for you,\u201d said Sidhu. \u201cIt\u2019s saving you time, so you don\u2019t have to go to each of these individual company websites or scroll through those job site pages just to see if there are jobs posted on there.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A couple of other searches that Sidhu recommends setting up are queries based on your target companies as well as your current and previously worked with clients.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">First, to build a search around a target company, simply add in the names of those targets into your search, and SourceBreaker will populate all of those companies\u2019 open jobs within your search. You can also refine that search by location to only search for job leads within a certain geographical area. You can also narrow your search by adding in job descriptions, skills, or keywords, so your search provides you with the most relevant jobs to what you\u2019re looking for. Sidhu also recommends building a search targeting your current \u2013 or even past \u2013 clients. \u201cThose are going to be really easy wins for you because you&#8217;re not having to go in with a cold conversation. You are just going to get notified. You&#8217;ve already got the relationship there.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you\u2019re focusing on finding leads for a specific role, try utilising a split job title search. For example, if you\u2019re looking for DevOps engineers, start building your search with just the \u201cDevOps\u201d keyword. Then, add in your other keywords like \u201cengineer,\u201d \u201cdeveloper,\u201d or \u201carchitect.\u201d You\u2019ll then merge this second term group, so the search reads \u201cengineer or developer or architect.\u201d This tells your search mechanism that as long as the word DevOps and one of these terms appear somewhere in that job title, to find those jobs and include them in your search. This is a great way to ensure you\u2019re the first to the most promising job leads out there.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Leverage intel to stay one step ahead<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Want to know what companies might be hiring in the near future? Head to the <\/span><b>Intel<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> section within SourceBreaker. In the funding round section, you can see companies that have recently received funding. But that\u2019s not all; you can also see where they&#8217;re based, what industry they&#8217;re in, the funding type they received, how much money they received, and when the funding round was announced. Similarly to SourceBots, you can set alerts to receive notifications about the latest funding rounds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you\u2019re not familiar with funding rounds, SourceBreaker has you covered. You can always click on a funding round to learn more about what that might mean for a company. \u201cAs a recruiter, I would definitely be thinking if a company has received funding, they are definitely going to grow,\u201d Sidhu said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Companies in this list may also have a number displayed next to them; that indicates the number of jobs they\u2019re currently hiring for. You can click on that number and see a full list of every job opening they have.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SourceBreaker also provides you with a list of key people within each company, as well as their email and a direct link to their LinkedIn profile. With the email finder function, you can search for anyone within the company and find their contact information.
