Originally launched as an online marketplace, Bullhorn was used by creative types such as designers, artists, and copywriters to search for contract work. After speaking with a friend, Founder and CEO Art Papas discovered that the system closely mapped to a recruitment agency’s typical relationship management workflow, so he began pitching it to recruiters. Shortly thereafter, Papas, coding the software himself, interviewed recruiters and built in the CRM functionality that they wanted. Ever since, Bullhorn’s leadership team has been focused on delivering dynamic and secure solutions for the recruitment industry built in collaboration with agile development and user-centered design. With an entrepreneurial approach and great passion for the customers we serve, Bullhorn has been leading the global recruitment software industry for over a decade, offering a full suite of product offerings. In September 2017, Bullhorn acquired Connexys, a leading provider of recruitment solutions in Mainland Europe. Connexys’s flagship product offering, its applicant tracking system (ATS), is built on the Salesforce platform and used by 300 customers and 20,000 recruitment professionals across the Netherlands, Germany, France, and Belgium.

Bullhorn donates almost $1 million per year in cash donations and employee volunteer time to a variety of organisations, including the Germantown Neighborhood Center, The Italian Home for Children, DSS, Raise a Reader, and Youth Village’s Holiday Hero program.
As a company, we volunteer at more than 15 events per year and work with organisations including Rosie’s Place, Rebuilding Together Boston, and Youth Villages. Bullhorn Cares partners with Career Collaborative, a not-for-profit organisation that helps low-income adults find and keep jobs with career potential. Since the beginning of our partnership, in 2011, Bullhorn has worked with Career Collaborative to help 74 individuals secure new careers in the Boston area. Bullhorn was recently recognised with a Silver Impact Award from Building Impact for its commitment to volunteerism. CEO Art Papas was also recognised with a 2015 Alumni Impact award from BostInno.
