When growth outpaces the system
Since 2008, Integrity Trade Services (ITS) has built a strong reputation in the light industrial and clerical staffing markets. With 19 branches across multiple states and clients ranging from small local businesses to major automotive suppliers, the company has grown steadily year after year.
That growth brought a new challenge: payroll. Corporate Administrator Patti Mensik manages payroll and billing for all internal and temporary employees. With just one assistant, she ensures that more than 975 people, up from 575, are paid accurately and on time each week, that taxes are filed correctly, and that leadership receives the reports they need.
Under previous systems, this was a time-consuming process. Even a standard weekly payroll could take hours to complete. Quarterly tax filings stretched across two weeks, consuming 10–15 hours, and commission weeks often required a full day of preparation and reconciliation. As Mensik explained, “With [our previous payroll provider] I had to log into [their system], ADP, and Informer just to get payroll and taxes done. It was constant back and forth across systems, and it consumed my Thursdays.”
Turning to Bullhorn One and Greenshades
By 2023, Integrity Trade Services had reached a tipping point. The firm moved to Bullhorn One to unify its front-to-back staffing operations. For payroll and tax, the company selected Greenshades, a Bullhorn Marketplace partner with deep experience in staffing.

“If everybody follows the rules, it’s almost seamless,” Mensik explained. “The branches send their reports, my assistant uploads them, and the data flows straight into Greenshades. Then it’s just a couple of clicks to run payroll.”
The impact on efficiency has been dramatic. Regular weekly payroll, which once took close to an hour, is now completed in about 20 minutes. With commissions, the difference is even more pronounced; what once took three hours is now done in about an hour.
Quarterly taxes, a task that previously consumed 10–15 hours across multiple systems, now take about two hours from start to finish. “I click the button, review the forms, and Greenshades submits everything for me,” Mensik said. “I don’t spend my entire Thursday uploading files anymore.”
Goodbye, payroll mistakes
Time savings are only part of the story. By consolidating processes into Bullhorn and Greenshades, ITS has improved accuracy and reduced costly errors. Built-in validation reports, for instance, allow Mensik to confirm deductions and benefits before payroll is finalized, reducing the chance of post-processing corrections.
Even complex processes such as garnishments and commissions have become easier. Greenshades provides clear reporting and import templates, allowing Mensik to prepare data in advance rather than reentering it manually.
I used to spend five or six hours building out gross margin reports in Excel. Now, with Analytics and Greenshades, I can pull what I need in minutes and pay commissions in two hours instead of a week.
Easy to learn, easy to scale
Usability has been another major benefit for Integrity Trade Services. New staff, including seasonal support, can get up to speed in just minutes. Previously, a returning temporary payroll assistant spent hours manually entering codes each winter. With Bullhorn and Greenshades, those codes can now be uploaded in bulk, saving days of work.
This ease of use has given ITS the confidence to grow. As the company adds branches and expands into new states, payroll is no longer a bottleneck. “My assistant went from juggling nine different logins to just three,” Mensik said. “We’re managing more employees than ever, and we haven’t had to add payroll staff.”
The smooth experience has also encouraged ITS to explore additional ways to use Greenshades. After a successful demonstration, the firm is preparing to adopt Greenshades HR for internal employees, further consolidating systems and streamlining compliance.

Looking back, Mensik compares her experience with Greenshades favorably to even the systems she once loved. “[Our previous ATS] was a good product, but Greenshades is as good or better,” she said. “The difference is the dedicated support. I know exactly who to call, and I get answers right away.”
Together, Bullhorn One and Greenshades have reduced manual work while strengthening trust in the payroll process. Leadership now gets accurate reports quickly, and employees can count on their paychecks being right the first time.
As Mensik summarized, “It’s been extremely easy. I’ve saved so much time. I am very, very pleased.”
