March 2024 product updates and enhancements
Curious what product updates and enhancements we’re launching in Bullhorn this month? Read on to explore the highlights of the March 2024 Bullhorn release and what it means for you. We roll our updates out in phases, so if you don’t see these changes reflected in Bullhorn yet, you can expect to see the following highlights in your instance by the end of the month.

Updates to Bullhorn ATS & CRM
- New association Rest API: API users can now pull associated entity information in bulk. For example, you can now pull all the skills for a given set of candidates. This update is generally available for all customers who have access to the REST API. Please check out the release notes for more information!
- Special characters: Special characters are now saved in the “Name” field of Custom Cards, Menu Actions, and List Buttons. This supports international clients who often use accented characters in names.
Bullhorn Automation product updates
- International date formatting: We have added universal date/time support in merge tokens. This enhancement benefits customers engaging with international markets in multiple regions that have different standardized date & time formats.
- Enablement: This can be enabled by navigating to Settings > Company Settings > clicking the Edit button on the General Setting modal. Under Date Format, choose one of the two different Universal Date/Time options: YYYY/MM/DD 24hr or YYYY/MM/DD 12hr AM/PM
Bullhorn Analytics product updates
- Update Dashboards permissions in bulk: Bullhorn Analytics User Admins can now update Dashboard editing permissions for users in bulk instead of user by user, resulting in time savings.
Updates to Bullhorn Healthcare solutions
- Mass Actions from the Compliance Manager List View: New Placement Requirements and Certification Requirement Owners can be added or updated en masse, which helps Compliance Specialists manage updates faster.
Enhancements to Bullhorn’s Pay & Bill functionality
- Standard report updates: We added three new reports and updated two existing reports to our standard Pay & Bill Canvas report package. The new reports include “Purchase Order Burn,” “Amounts by CRF,” and “Pay Export Batch.” The updated reports include “Transaction Master Summary V7” and “Transaction Master Summary Exceptions V7.”
- Please note: Updating to the latest version of the report will need to be requested so that any customizations to existing reports aren’t overwritten.
- Customer Required Fields Free Text option: You can now track Customer Required Fields (CRF) Free Text within Bullhorn. The new CRF allows Candidates to enter in the correct CRF value, rather than selecting a pre-populated option, on their timecard during Time Entry. The CRF Free Text data will flow through to their respective billing transactions and can be used to split, group, and summarize invoices.
Time & Labor engine enhancements
- Timesheet list improvements: The Branch field is now available on the Timesheet list view to facilitate filtering and sorting. Also, to make the data easier to read, the time is no longer displayed next to the date in the Timesheet Period End Date column on the Timesheet list.
Updates to Bullhorn Time + Expense
- Tempo clock update: We improved the process of removing departments associated with end assignments for employees using a Tempo time clock. This functionality prevents punches on departments that should not be available.
Updates to Bullhorn Onboarding solutions
Onboarding Talent Edition
- E-Verify: We have improved OTE’s validation of first names and last names used for E-Verify case creation to be aligned with E-Verify’s interface control agreement. Now when a candidate has a space, hyphen, or apostrophe in their name, a case can be created.
Onboarding365
- Tax form updates: We have updated several state and Canadian tax forms for 2024. Please check out the Product Release Portal for the full list of updated forms!
- Erecruit: We have introduced prefix support for usernames in Erecruit-initiated onboardings. You can now reuse login emails across different brands within the same ONB365 instance for a more convenient and flexible experience.
